I've come here several times. I went today to get a breakfast burrito (egg, chorizo, queso and refried beans). My husband really enjoyed the burrito. I also ordered the elote tamales plate. I enjoyed this too. The tamale was sweet with the corn. For the food I have had here I would strongly recommend. The next item I'm going to try is the menudo.

My husband and I were craving tacos with handmade tortillas, so we decided to go to La Jaiba. From the outside it just looks like a small hole in the wall taqueria, but it definitely has a big menu! We were basically the only people there on a random Tuesday night, but the service was really good even for a slow day. I appreciated the friendliness of all the workers! I had two carne asada tacos and two al pastor tacos and they did not disappoint. The handmade tortillas and meat were yummy and I also had a delicious sangria! I would definitely come back and try other things on their menu too.

Chanced upon this taqueria ordering from DoorDash and now I'm obsessed after 1 meal. Not everyone can do a great mole sauce but La Jaiba did it right! I ordered a mole wet asada burrito and it was absolutely amazing. Filled with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Can't wait to explore their menu.

Came in here for dinner last night for some tacos. I always get cabeza, tripa, and lengua as my baseline to compare taco places. Meats were tender and tasty. The cabeza was my favorite, followed by the tripa, then the lengua here. Fairly priced. About the same if not slightly higher than taco trucks in the area ($3.50-4.50/ea) The tortillas, chips, and salsas have some room for improvement. I thought the handmade tortillas were stale around the edges and doughy towards the center. It led to the meats just falling all over the place. Maybe it was an off-day? Chips were really light and it's $5 for extra. Salsas from the bar and the little plastic molcajete that came with the chips were all watery and loose. Small spot in a strip mall, but parking and seating was nice and easy. Managed to get a four-top around 8pm. Service could be better. Took a while to order and pay at the beginning and end. Ambiance was fine -- average noise level, good distance between tables, clear path to the salsa bar. Nice casual spot. 3.5/5, rounded up because I'd most likely come back.

"The one man live band Beat the food in my hand." La Jaiba offers a comfortable, relaxing dining experience. Plenty of tables, two large TVs, a salsa bar, friendly servers and occasionally a one man band playing his guitar and singing Mexican folk tunes. The food is forgettable. I tried the quesabirria, fish tacos and shrimp ceviche over two visits. Better than mid but not worth a return. Especially at the eyebrow raising prices being charged. True score: 7.1 / 10. Return? NO.

Overall good super steak burrito. No chips given with order. I ordered in person for take out. Got mild salsa on the side. They charged a 2% card fee which I didn't see anywhere posted, not that big of a deal but just a heads up. Decent parking in the plaza. Lots of seating inside.
